Mario Party 7 (マリオパーティ 7 Mario Pāti Sebun) is the seventh in a series of board game style video games for Nintendo platforms and is the fourth and final title in the Mario Party series for Nintendo GameCube. Mario Party 7 features popular Nintendo characters. It was released on the GameCube in North America on November 7, 2005, in Japan on November 10, 2005, in Europe on February 10, 2006, and in Australia on June 8, 2006.
It features 88 new minigames. This game's host is Toadsworth, Princess Peach's longtime steward. It also makes use of the microphone peripheral introduced with Mario Party 6, which can be used in 10 minigames. This game also includes six entirely new worlds (one world being unlocked). Mario Party 7 is followed by Mario Party 8.
Problems
Microphone Configuration
Mic support works by enabling Mic on Slot B and setting the button to GCN Pad 2, but does not work on Pad 1.
Spinner Cell Minigame
The Spinner Cell minigame eventually shows only a black screen. At the start of the game, it renders well but the characters are flickering. As the game continues, only the shadows are rendered, and finally the whole screen turns to black for the rest of the game. See issue 4684. NOTE: Fixed if using JITIL recompiler.
Music Stops, Temporary Hanging
BGM may still stop with DSP HLE, even in builds after the AX-HLE merger (3.5-78). It can also lead to temporary hangs. DSP LLE does not have these issues. See issue 5998. Fixed in unknown revision.
Configuration
Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.

Test Entries | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
r7278 | Mac OS X | Intel Core i5 @ 2.3GHz | Intel HD Graphics 3000 | Perfect | NJP13254 |
r7540 | Windows 7 x64 | Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 @ 2.2GHz | nVidia GeForce 230m GT | Perfect, stutters every once in a while | GM3000 |
r7579 | Windows 7 x64 | Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.16GHz | ATI Radeon HD 4800 | Plays perfect until it stutters to freeze every few hours; restart | crackerjax |
3.0-787 | Windows 7 x64 | Intel i5 2450m @ 2.5 GHz | Intel HD Graphics 3000 | Runs very smoothly at 49-60 FPS | ACE014 |
3.5-1662 | Windows 7 x64 | Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.8GHz | ATI Radeon HD 5850 | Perfect 50 FPS(PAL), netplay (4 players) with no desync (buffer=2) | Mals1 |
^3.5 | Windows XP x86 | Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 @ 2GHz | ATI Radeon HD 4650 | Almost perfect! The game runs very smooth on the map/"Game Board" (At 50-60 FPS and 90% to 100% (Speed)). During some minigames, the speed may drastically drops, mainly those where there are many objects (Speed goes to 67% -> 85, and the FPS to 36 -> 50), but keeps a lot playable. | DmitryN |
