Homepage
To Dos
- Add instructions page on extracting fonts from GameCube bioses.
- Infobox
- Add ability to hide compatibility stars (i.e. for pages like Wii MotionPlus)
- Add section to capture game IDs on game pages
- Make platform handling more like other sections (i.e. don't require links, perform syntax checking, etc.)
- Series: Setup missing series navigation check
- Inputs: Revise to use icons for inputs as used on rear of boxes per: http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_homebrew
- Publishers
- Address issues where publisher names overlap platforms, or each other
- Fix Multiple VC publishers /wo region indicators
- Add category to find infoboxes with release dates /wo regions indicated
- Add additional linkages to gameinfo: internal wiki search, GameTDB/GameFAQ searche (unclear which)
- Revise genre handling to allow for sub-genres: genre = Sports \ Baseball -> Category:Sports (Genre), Category:Baseball (Sub-genre)
- Fix comma lists not processed in vgrelease.
- Clean up Jikkyō Powerful Pro Yakyū
- The accented chars likely are valid, but the JP game box uses ou/uu
- Compatibility Graph
- Revise to support hard vs soft stops (i.e. this happens to work in the current version vs this was broken with revision X)
- Generate "Problem Tracker" for tracking releases related to problems similarly to Compatibility
- May need to provide a minimum width or some other handling, as tight revisions can to become invisible. Likely need to trim off revisions 2.0-3.0
- Refer: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Pokémon_XD:_Gale_of_Darkness
- Likely need to cut off revisions prior to 3.0 to help with this. With 2207 3.5 revs now, few displays have enough pixels to show a pixel per rev, even just for 3.5 releases.
- Alternately implement a JS zoom effect: http://www.aplweb.co.uk/blog/js/magnifying-glass/demo.html
- Investigate cut-off of Version Compatibility, it should cut-off at 2.0 but the much earlier r791 is visible on: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Eternal_Darkness:_Sanity%27s_Requiem
- Actually, that's the intended behavior. The bar displays only 2.0 and up, but the last entry before 2.0 will be displayed at the start, allowing people to know that the 1 star rating existed from r791 all the way up to 5786. This same behavior exists on Super Smash Bros. Brawl, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and other popular pages. But there isn't a lot of data from before 2.0, so this doesn't come up very often. This wiki was created around r4000, after all, and the cut-off was added not long after 3.0. Hope you don't mind me intruding, feel free to delete this. - MaJoR (talk) 08:08, 25 July 2014 (CEST)
- No thanks for the feedback. I had forgotten it worked like that. I think it was initially needed so the coloration of the related out of range compatibility report would show. I still find it a bit odd though, since the graph is labeled as stopping at 2.0/r5350, so I may still look at cleaning it up a bit.
