The Datel Advance Game Port was a Game Boy Advance emulator for the Nintendo GameCube that allowed playing physical cartridges through a hardware peripheral. It also allowed creating cheats for Game Boy Advance games. Unlike the Game Boy Player, it uses software emulation, leading to compatibility problems with some games.
Due to improper GPU timings, frames finish too quickly and GBA games will randomly hang. Dualcore is more stable than Single Core, but both will hang fairly often. It can also hang in the menus. See .
Hang when MMU is enabled
If MMU is enabled, the version with Cheat Construction Kit functionality will hang upon making a choice in the menu. With MMU disabled, several "Invalid write" messages will appear, along with other error messages, but the title will eventually boot. This does not affect earlier revisions. See .
IPL ROM Dump Required
Advance Game Port will always crash at boot or freeze in a black screen unless Skip BIOS is disabled and DSP LLE is selected. Skip BIOS can only be disabled if an IPL dump from a real GameCube is present in User/GC. This has been fixed since.
