Auto Modellista (rough Italian for “car designer”) (aka Auto Modellista: U.S.-tuned (アウトモデリスタ U.S.-tuned) in Japan) is a racing game developed and published by Capcom, first released on Nintendo GameCube. It was Capcom's first driving game for fourteen years since the arcade game F-1 Dream, but they had previously distributed Ridge Racer 2 for the US market and both Test Drive 5 and Test Drive: Off-Road 2 (developed by Pitbull Syndicate) for the Japanese market.

Problems

Save Creation

The percentage counter on the initial save file creation seems to improperly count to 400%.

Wrong Letters and Numbers

Wrong letters and numbers will be shown randomly, replacing the right ones. This can be fixed by setting the Texture Cache Accuracy to Medium.

Flickering

This game requires XFB emulation. An early indicator of this is the odd flickering of the opening video, which doesn't fade in/out appropriately. Flickering issues are seen in-game without XFB, in which the track details flicker in and out. Fixed with Hybrid XFB in 5.0-5874.
