Donkey Kong Country Returns with the classic side-scrolling play that made the original so popular, now rendered with new levels and vibrant 3D environments. When Donkey Kong's banana stash is stolen, he goes on a quest to get them back. This time, Diddy Kong joins the adventure, opening up the franchise's first opportunity for co-op play. Diddy can hop on and off Donkey Kong's back any time, giving rookies a chance to ride along when the going gets too tough.

Problems

Controllers Disconnect

Wiimotes randomly disconnect if "Enable Speaker Data" is on. Disable it to correct the problem.

Low Resolution DK

If "EFB to RAM" is used Donkey Kong will appear blocky and pixelated, "EFB to Texture" corrects for this.

Super Guide May Die

The Super Guide may fail or die because the game and Super Guide recordings fall out of sync. Fortunately, the game continues as if he won.

Odd sounds, Sound cut-out

Sound effects sometimes stop working, or odd erroneous sounds will sometimes endlessly repeat. Use DSP LLE to fix this. This can also be addressed by briefly visiting the Wii home screen and then exiting back to the game. Fixed by 3.5-1154. Odd sounds only are back in 3.5-2429. Same fix solve problem.

Configuration

Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.
