In Famicom Bunko: Hajimari no Mori you control an elementary school boy staying at his grandfather's house in a rural village for the summer. There he befriends a young girl, and they go on many adventures in the mysterious forest near his grandfather's house. Actions are chosen from a command menu. Some commands must be chosen within a time limit. This game was available exclusively as a download for the Nintendo Power cartridge.
