Gekitō Pro Yakyū (激闘プロ野球 水島新司オールスターズVSプロ野球) includes popular characters from Shinji Mizushima, who created numerous baseball comics such as “Dokaben” and “Abu-san”, will participate in Nippon Professional Baseball and collide as a member of their favorite team! Co-starring Mizushima character expressed in anime style (toon shade) and real professional baseball players realistically reproduced. In addition, the secret hit ball that is characteristic of Mizushima Manga is completely reproduced. Yuki Suwon's “Dream Ball” and Kazuma Toma ’s “Hidden Swan Lake” will be revived by the user.
An exciting dream confrontation that could only be seen in comics is now available!
More than 300 real players of 12 professional baseball teams will appear. Of course, players and team order data faithfully reproduce the latest data of 2003. Strong Hanshin running under the head of Hoshino, the leader giant who pursues it. In addition, Daiei Aragaki and Wada will be appearing this year's rookie candidates. Of course, Kintetsu Nakamura Ki's exquisite batting form, Matsui Yasuo's splendid movements, Ibushi Gin, Tanedano's crotch method and other details of the player's movements and habits are also realistically reproduced.
This work is not limited to a simple action baseball game, but a full-fledged character development mode. Characters raised will be able to use various secret hits and balls as well as Mizushima characters. The character raised by the player manipulates the secret ball and secret ball, and confronts Mizushima characters and professional baseball players. Such an exciting scene is also realized in this game.
The intro video that plays after the Nippon Professional Baseball logo shows nothing but a white screen with default settings. This is fixed by setting External Frame Buffer (XFB) to Real in graphics configuration; however, this will lock the game at 1x internal resolution. Fixed with Hybrid XFB in 5.0-5874.
This title does not need non-default settings to run properly.
The graph below charts the compatibility with Gekitō Pro Yakyū since Dolphin's 2.0 release, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred.
This title has been tested on the environments listed below:
|5.0-5314||Windows 10||Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.3 GHz||NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060||The only problem is that Real XFB is needed for the intro videos to display. While in game, when different players are introduced by the announcer at the beginning of each inning, the ends of their names can get cut off; this happens on console as well, but maybe it's a bit worse here. Otherwise I didn't notice anything wrong with default settings, runs full speed. Played for about an hour or two without any problems.||Xerxes|
|5.0-9859||Windows 10||Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.3 GHz||NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060||Intro videos are indeed fixed with default settings now. Perfect game.||Xerxes|
