Reign of Fire is based on the movie of the same name, in which dragons have annihilated the majority of the human race, and the survivors attempt to fight back using scavenged military hardware.

Emulation Information

Glitched Text Edges

The edges of text are glitched. This also happens on hardware and is not a problem with Dolphin. The texture atlas for the font has no mips so any scaling interpolates freely across glyph tiles.

Problems

Cutscene Flickering

There can be very minor stuttering/flickering during the new game cutscene. This can be fixed by setting Texture Cache Accuracy to Safe.

Purple Opening Screen

The opening Licensed by Nintendo screen will appear purple with default settings. Uncheck "Store XFB Copies to Texture Only" to resolve this.

Testing

This title has been tested on the environments listed below:

Test Entries
Revision OS CPU GPU Result Tester
5.0-9800 Windows 10 Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.3 GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Nearly perfect with default settings. There's one spot that flickers in the intro video without Safe Texture Cache, and the Licensed by Nintendo screen is purple without XFB to RAM. Otherwise, besides text looking a little bad around the edges, everything is perfect. Played the first two levels. Xerxes
