Configuration
Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.
Graphics
Config | Setting | Notes |
---|---|---|
Video Backend | DirectX 9 |
Audio

DSP Emulator Engine | HLE | DSP LLE should be used for a game like this were sound and music is important but it lags quite a lot even on high-end PCs, mostly on stages where there is huge crowds and a lot of things going on. Even though the sound crackles for just a little bit, HLE is recommended in this case. |
Version Compatibility
The graph below charts the compatibility with Guitar Hero: Metallica since Dolphin's 2.0 release, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred.
Testing
This title has been tested on the environments listed below:
Test Entries | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
r7689 | Windows 7 x64 | Intel i3-2100 Sandy Bridge @ 3.1GHz | nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ | distorted sound + lag | djlastnight |
3.0-830 x64 | Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64 | Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge @ 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo Boost) | ATi Radeon HD 6950 2GB | Use EFB Copy to Texture for less graphical issues and HLE Emulation as sound output although the sound crackles just a little bit sometimes, the game is to laggy with DSP LLE but can also be laggy with HLE. Also works great with real guitar, have done a couple of songs in career mode just fine | Duke Nukem |
