The House of the Dead: Overkill charges you with mowing down waves of infected, blood-thirsty zombies in a last-ditch effort to survive Bayou City and uncover the horrific truth behind the origins of the House of the Dead.
Survival horror as it's never been seen before! A pulp-style take on the classic Sega light-gun shooter series. Back when the famous Agent G was still fresh out of the academy, he teamed up with hard-boiled bad-ass Agent Washington to investigate stories of mysterious disappearances in small-town Louisiana. Little did they know what blood-soaked mutant horror would await them in the streets and swamps of Bayou City.
Emulation Information
Stutters
The game will stutter as new areas load. This happens on real consoles as well, but can be accounted for on Dolphin by enabling Speed Up Disc Transfer Rate under the games Properties.
Problems
Dual Core Problems
Using dual core mode causes various graphics warping with the OpenGL backend, and a crash with the Vulkan back-end. Refer issue 9940/issue 9948. Single core mode is default since 5.0-11217.
Double Images
If you experience double images while playing, uncheck "Ignore Format Changes". Default since at least 5.0-10603.
Enhancements
60 FPS
Gecko Code:

Bloom
Using Internal Resolutions above 1x will have a detrimental effect on this titles bloom effects. Bloom can be corrected with the following Gecko code. Use either x4 or x8, whichever is closer to the Internal Resolution you are running. You can change the Brightness line to increase or reduce the bloom brightness by replacing 3f400000 (float value = 0.75) using a float value to hex converter.

r7671 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-2500K @ 4.5 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 | Nearly perfect, very rare minor graphics issues | Brumbek |
3.0-153 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-2500K @ 4 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce 560 Ti | Perfect. Set EFB Copies to RAM and uncheck Enable Cache, has "ghost images" if set otherwise. | Arezco |
3.5-144 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-460M @ 2.53 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450M | good, set dx9 rendering, set framerate limit to 70FPS (PAL version) to have a normal speed. You may use DSP LLE to keep video and audio sync in videos but slows down the whole game. In videos and gameplay there is a transparent image which seems to be a zoomed copy of the "normal" rendering. | dethegeek |
4.0-6982 | Windows 8.1 | Intel Core i5-3470M @ 3.2 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 | Game runs perfecly | zaozabot |
