The House of the Dead: Overkill charges you with mowing down waves of infected, blood-thirsty zombies in a last-ditch effort to survive Bayou City and uncover the horrific truth behind the origins of the House of the Dead.

Survival horror as it's never been seen before! A pulp-style take on the classic Sega light-gun shooter series. Back when the famous Agent G was still fresh out of the academy, he teamed up with hard-boiled bad-ass Agent Washington to investigate stories of mysterious disappearances in small-town Louisiana. Little did they know what blood-soaked mutant horror would await them in the streets and swamps of Bayou City.

Problems

Dual Core Problems

Using dual core mode causes various graphics warping with the OpenGL backend, and a crash with the Vulkan back-end. Refer issue 9940/issue 9948.

Double Images

If you experience double images while playing, uncheck "Ignore Format Changes" and check "External Frame Buffer Virtual" under Hacks in the Graphics options. Tested on version 3.0-774.

Enhancements

Bloom

Using Internal Resolutions above 1x will have a detrimental effect on this titles bloom effects. Bloom can be corrected with the following Gecko code. Use either x4 or x8, whichever is closer to the Internal Resolution you are running. You can change the Brightness line to increase or reduce the bloom brightness by replacing 3f400000 (float value = 0.75) using a float value to hex converter.
