Just Dance 2016 is a dance video game developed and published by Ubisoft. Unveiled on 15 June 2015 during its E3 press conference, it was released in October 2015 alongside with Just Dance Unlimited subscription service.

Emulation Information

Network Certificates Required

Just Dance 2016 has functionalities that requires proper network certificates extracted from an IOS to work. Refer to the network guide for more information.

Online Features

The online features of Just Dance 2016, such as World Dance Floor and Community Remixes, have been shut down as of November 19, 2018, and work in neither Dolphin or on actual Wii hardware.

If you wish to use online features with these games, you must turn to fan servers such as Dance Party. As usual, always maintain caution when connecting to any third party service. Because of how this game's save system works, you must use a real Wii NAND and keys dumped from a physical console when connecting to an online service. If you do not, then you may end up corrupting your savedata and/or banned from the service.

Problems

Dancer Card Hang

Upon starting Just Dance 2016 for the first time, you'll need to create a Dancer Card. However, the game will hang and keep loading forever after creating it, which prevents reaching the main menu and thus renders the game unplayable. The same hang will also occur if you try to edit an existing Dancer Card or if you try to create new Dancer Cards later on. There's no solution at the moment, but you can work around this problem by disconnecting your computer from the internet before booting the game and creating your first Dancer Card or whenever you want to edit an existing Dancer Card. Refer to issue 11342. Fixed by 5.0-12952.

Hang after stopping emulation

On Dolphin 5.0-775 and newer, Just Dance 2016 will hang when closing Dolphin or manually stopping the emulation. The workaround is force stopping the emulation by clicking on the Stop button again; refer to issue 9852. Fixed in 5.0-2352.

Black Screen

The game freezes in a black screen when booting, refer to issue 5079. Fixed in 5.0-546.

Configuration

This title does not need non-default settings to run properly.
