Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, known in Japan as Kirby of the Stars 64 (星のカービィ64 Hoshi no Kirby 64), is a Nintendo 64 platform game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo, a sequel to Kirby's Dream Land 3, and one of few Kirby titles not directed by Masahiro Sakurai who voiced King Dedede in the game, and where Meta Knight never appears.
Problems
No Skybox
On the Direct3D backend, the skybox doesn't show during levels. However, it does show the skyboxes during cutscenes and the planet selection screen. The OpenGL backend doesn't have this problem.
Cutscene Border Glitches
Cutscene borders have large artifacts at the bottom.
Pixel Stretch
On both backends, some textures in the cutscenes (e.g. the skybox during the New Game intro) will have a pixel stretch effect that corresponds to the cutscene camera movement. Changing the External Frame Buffer to "Real" seems to fix this.
Audio Issues
Audio has slight skipping/crackle issues with the XAudio2 backend. Audio is completely garbled with OpenAL.
Configuration
No configuration changes are known to affect compatibility for this title.
