LEGO The Lord of the Rings is based on The Lord of the Rings motion picture trilogy and relives the Fellowship's astonishing adventure across the imaginative world created by J.R.R. Tolkien, but with the added fun, humor and creativity that fans can expect from the LEGO videogame franchise. Featuring dialogue from the films, players will experience the same cinematic thrills and excitement they witnessed in the award-winning film series. Whether longtime fans, or newcomers to the The Lord of the Rings saga, family members of all ages will undoubtedly enjoy the humorous, playful touch that TT Games has imparted upon this epic story.

Emulation Information

Wii Remote Pointer Hiding

When the Wii Remote pointer is held perfectly still in Lego The Lord of the Rings, the game relocates it off screen. It is unknown why titles do this. With real Wii Remotes, there is usually enough movement to ensure this does not happen, but with emulated Wii Remotes, it is very easy to see. It has been reproduced on console and is not a bug in Dolphin.

Wii Remote Pointer Hiding - Workaround

To make pointer-targeting work more reliable in these titles, it is possible to add a circularizing motion to the input.

The following templates are configured on android, using a gamepad. Pointing is activated when the button B is pressed, and the character holds a throwable item. When Pointing is active, the circular cursor should show up on screen, "wiggling". This mostly prevents the recenter, and restores the ability to easily target in those games.

;Point-Up
@(`Button B`+`Axis 1-`)+clamp(sin(6.3*timer(0.5))*0.04,0,1)

;Point-Down
@(`Button B`+`Axis 1+`)+clamp(sin(6.3*timer(0.5))*0.04,-1,0)*-1

;Point-Left
@(`Button B`+`Axis 0-`)+clamp(sin(6.3*timer(0.5))*0.04,-1,0)*-1

;Point-Right
@(`Button B`+`Axis 0+`)+clamp(sin(6.3*timer(0.5))*0.04*-1,0,1)

The first part of '@(...)' is the activation for the motion. Your axis should be included in this statement. The following '+clamp(sin(...' adds the additional motion. Important: When modifying the templates, remember that each axis' additional movement is different from each other. If they cancel each other out, this workaround stops working since the game doesn't see additional motion anymore.
