Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour is a golf game featuring characters and elements from the Mario series. There are 16 playable characters in total, each with a set of golfing statistics defining their style of play. The game's main mode involves the player competing in tournaments to obtain new features, although there are alternative modes consisting of training session and variations to the golf format. This includes "Ring Attack", requiring the player to hit the ball through rings of varying sizes while remaining on or under par. Players can transfer characters between Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and Mario Golf: Advance Tour using the Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance Cable.

Problems

Major Graphics glitches

Characters, Menu and In-game graphics glitches, however, still playable. The menu is cut off at the top.

Between 4.0-4606 and 4.0-4905, most graphical glitches have been fixed, however the top part of the main menu is still cut off and A/B button icons on the swing bar are upside down. The tops of the menus do render (can be seen with free camera), but do not show.

All these issues have been fixed as of 5.0-1709.

Incorrect Hazard Window Rendering

The window that appears when triggering a hazard (e.g. a water hazard) will sometimes render incorrectly, extending beyond where it should the right side of the screen. Refer issue 12789. Fixed by 5.0-16348.

Enhancements

16:9 Aspect Ratio Fix

The Widescreen Hack has minor clipping issues that can be fixed with a Gecko Code.
