Metroid Prime: Trilogy is an action-adventure video game compilation developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo for the Wii video game console. It features Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on a single dual-layer disc. The former two, which were originally released for the Nintendo GameCube, have been updated with many of the features that were first implemented in the latter. The Collector's Edition of Metroid Prime Trilogy came packaged in a Steelbook case, containing an art booklet and includes other features; it is one of a handful of Wii games to come in a non-white DVD case.

Problems

Constant Wii Remote Disconnects

Since 3.5-471, when using the MS Bluetooth Stack (the default Bluetooth stack on Windows) the game will think that the Wii Remote is constantly disconnecting. Pressing a button on the Wii Remote will restore it, but it will disconnect again seconds later. Disable "Enable Speaker Data" to solve this problem, or avoid the MS Bluetooth stack by using the Toshiba Stack or Dolphinbar.

Selecting scan visor in MP1 triggers assertion

Since 4.0-7620, selecting a scan visor triggers an endless stream of assertions saying "Memory stride is too small". Clicking "yes" advances the game by one frame, while clicking "no" crashes Dolphin. This prevents any game progress.

When loading the multiplayer menu, the MP2 menu will appear but no items will be displayed within it. This is because the game disconnected the Wii Remote while switching dols, but it doesn't give you a "wiimote is disconnected" alert to tell you to reconnect the Wii Remote. Press Alt-F5 twice and the menu will appear. Fixed in 4.0-7034, just press a button on the Wii Remote and the menu will appear.

As of 4.0-4724, launching any game in Trilogy will load the Wii Menu instead. Fixed by 4.0-4833.

Since 4.0-216, the opening video is... blue. It goes away as soon as a Wii Remote appears on the screen or after a period of time. It has no effect on gameplay. See issue 6783. Fixed by 4.0-3334.

Template:SCannot Use Multiple Save FilesTemplate:/s

While each game will work correctly with a single player profile, multiple profiles do not work correctly. Start a new game with a new profile, and the game will not start anew, but will instead load the save from the previous profile. Furthermore, if the player attempts to load the Metroid Prime 2 Multiplayer in the Trilogy launcher, the game will show the multiplayer intro and then load the most recent save of Metroid Prime 2's single player. See issue 6070. Fixed by 4.0-1953.

3.5-379 Windows 7 Intel Core i5-2500K @ 4.3GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 x2 100% emulation, there's no stuttering or lagging. Minor problems, such as 3 pixels at the middle of the screen. It's a bit annoying but easy to ignore. NVIDIA GeForce 3D vision isn't working, possibly a Dolphin problem. Settings used: Direct3D9, no AA, no Anisotropic filtering, HLE audio (seems to work right, without any problems), 1440x900 full-screen resolution. For more info click here Megamew28
4.0-3532 Windows 7 Intel Core i7-4770K @ 3.5GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti Game launches fine, but I'm unable to play anything. Prime 1 and 3 claim that the Wii Remote has disconnected, Prime 3 simply goes black and freezes, with some odd pixels in the center of the screen. Prime 2 gets as far as some sort of menu but it's impossible to input using Wii Remotes. Disabling Speaker Data has no affect. Running OpenGL, XAudio2, and using the DolphinBar. BillyAlt
4.0-5550 Windows 8.1 Intel Core i5-4670K @ 4.4GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 One small issue - The Wii Remote gets disconnected every time I load my save game, which is easily fixed with alt+f5. Prime 2 runs flawlessly, completed the game without any issues. Prime 3 runs well in the latest builds, gone are the audio issues from earlier revisions. Currently just got Plasma Beam in Prime 3, and everything is working just fine now. Mouse and keyboard controls work well enough to enable a full play through without an actual Wii Remote. Not sure about Prime 1 as I refuse to play the trilogy version due to removal of sequence breaking. Andr0idOS
