'''''Muramasa: The Demon Blade''''' is an action role playing game developed by Vanillaware  and published by Marvelous Entertainment in Japan, Rising Star Games in Europe, and Ignition Entertainment in North America for the [[Wii]]. The game was released in Japan on April 9, 2009, in North America on September 8, 2009, and in Europe on November 27, 2009.
'''''Muramasa: The Demon Blade''''' unfolds during feudal Japan's Genroku era, a volatile time marked by warring factions and grave civil unrest under the reign of the evil Shogun Tsunayoshi Tokugawa. Play as two heroes thrust into this treacherous climate as they venture across the dangerous countryside in a race to collect an array of legendary cursed swords before the vile Shogun can reach them. Who will you encounter? Friend of foe?

Muramasa follows the story of Kisuke, a fugitive who has lost his memory, including that of a crime that he committed and Momohime, a lithe female ronin possessed by a dark spirit. Gameplay allows players to use the Wii Remote, the Classic controller and the GameCube controller. The game allows players to use two different characters and features three difficulty levels.

===Black/Inverted Textures===

In some revisions, transparent textures appear black, or negative, refer {{issue|1521}}.
=== HD Textures ===

===Texture Alignment===
Texture alignment issues in the game menus can be resolved by setting the internal resolution to Auto (Multiple of 640x528)

===Sword Hilts do not change color as swords are changed===
Set the Texture Cache Accuracy to one click left of Fast (position 3 of 4, where 4 is Fast)

===Audio issues===
Individual sound bits may begin repeating, such as a death groan or sword swing. Audio may become garbled on one channel when using stereo. Requires a restart of dolphin, and it will go back to normal, but it will remain if a savestate from when the audio was garbled is loaded.  Unknown solution or cause at this point.

(user2: cannot reproduce any of these issues any longer. they existed in 2.0 from my recollection)

Emulation Information

Controller Map Overlap

Muramasa: The Demon Blade is capable of using both GameCube controllers and Wii Remotes. If a physical controller is set to emulate both a GameCube Controller and a Wii Remote concurrently, it will operate both devices at the same time. To fix, migrate controls to use separate physical controllers.

Problems

Tile Edges

Sometimes image tiles seem to be rendered 1px off, leaving small gaps or improperly drawn tile edges. This occurs even with 1x Internal Resolution and Anisotropic Filtering / Anti-aliasing off. Refer issue 6833. This is due to various texture interpolation issues and may happen on a real Wii. This may not occur with PAL releases.
