News Channel allows users to access news headlines and current news events obtained from the Internet. News articles are available on a globe view, similar to Forecast Channel, and as a slide show. The content is automatically updated and viewable via WiiConnect24 with clickable news images supported.

Emulation Information

Shut Down

This channel's online functionality has been shut down as of June 28, 2013 and works in neither Dolphin or on Wii hardware.

However, there is a service called RiiConnect24 which has the News Channel working again. If you take the /title/00010002/484147xx/data/wc24dl.vff file from a Wii that has it connected to it and put it in Dolphin, the News Channel will work normally, but will not update.

Problems

There are no reported problems with this channel.
