PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond (ポケパーク2 BW ビヨンド・ザ・ワールド, Poké Park 2: BW - Beyond the World) is a Pokémon game for Wii, and the sequel to PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure. It features Pokémon species from all 5 generations.

Problems

Hang/Crash upon changing areas

With the sole exception of Wish Park, attempting to move to a different area (such as from Cove town to Seasong Beach) will cause the game to either hang or Dolphin will crash, depending on settings (JIT/JITIL).

Hang in Tutorial

After you break the box by dashing, and continue on to some steps, Piplup will say hurry up, and then leave. The game will continue running, but nothing will happen, and control inputs will not work except for the home button. This issue can be fixed by using the JITIL experimental recompiler.

Configuration

Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.

Testing

This title has been tested on the environments listed below:

Test Entries
Revision OS CPU GPU Result Tester
3.0-235 Windows 7 x86 AMD Phenom II X4 970 AMD Radeon HD 6870 Crashes on start up "ERROR: Compiling at 0. LR=800163e0 CTR=00000000" Lucario
3.0-362 Windows 7 x64 Intel Core i7-720QM nVidia GeForce GT 310M Crashes starting the game after selecting a save file with multiple errors relating to writing on certain addresses.
^3.0-204 Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.66GHz nVidia GeForce 9400M Crashed at the first video event. I managed to tweak Dolphin and preventing it from crashing by modifying some settings, but I get a black screen with no audio output. LeoTh3o
^3.0-204 Mac OS X Lion 10.6.6 Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.66GHz nVidia GeForce 9400M Crashed at the first video event. I managed to tweak Dolphin and preventing it from crashing by modifying some settings, but I get a black screen with no audio output. Please notice that I tested on more versions updating as they are released through git trunk, but I don't see where the code version is. LeoTh3o
3.0-438 Windows 7 x64 Plays at full speed with 30 FPS, no crashes or any bugs (I think It works in x64 and x32 with no problem). Use Default settings. Mega Mike
3.0-441 Windows 7 x86 AMD Athlon @ 2.23GHz ATI Mobility Radon HD 4200 With JITIL, no issues until Cofagrigus' Attraction, where it crashes after playing the attraction. Changing to JIT allows for continuation to the cutscene after the attraction, but then crashes at the loading screen right afterwards. Also, with a completed game save, moving from Cove Town to any other area causes a crash/hang, depending on settings. Nerketur
3.0-486 Windows 7 x64 Intel Core i7-920 ATI Radeon HD 5870 Works fine except the audio in cutscenes. P1neapple
3.0-496 Windows 7 x86 Intel Core 2 Duo e8600 @ 3.6GHz ATI Radeon HD 4850 Using JITIL recompiler, no random crashes experienced. Able to continue playing after Cofagrigus' Attraction and the cutscene after the attraction. Overall flawless so far from creating a new save, to recruiting Oshawott. Audio in cutscenes has issues with DSP HLE. RupeeClock
3.0-688 Windows 7 x86 Intel Core i7-3930k @ 4.4GHz AMD Radeon HD 7970 Worked flawlessly except for sound on cutscenes.
