Puyo Puyo 7 (ぷよぷよ7) is the 7th game in the main Puyo Puyo series, which is denoted by the 7. A break from the previous Fever series games, the game is set in a world similar to the real world instead of Primp Town. In this game, a new game mode known as Transformation was added as the default mode. Five new characters were introduced, and a few characters from past games in the series were reintroduced, either as playable characters or cameos.

Controller Map Overlap
Puyo Puyo 7 is capable of using both GameCube controllers and Wii Remotes. If a physical controller is set to emulate both a GameCube Controller and a Wii Remote concurrently, it will operate both devices at the same time. To fix, migrate controls to use separate physical controllers.
Shut Down
This game's online functionality has been shut down as of May 20, 2014 and works in neither Dolphin or on Wii hardware.
