Resident Evil 4: Wii edition, known in Japan as Biohazard 4: Wii edition (バイオハザード4 Wii edition, Baiohazādo Fō: Wii edition), is a port of Resident Evil 4 for the Wii. The story follows Leon S. Kennedy, who is sent on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, the President's daughter, who has been kidnapped by a mysterious cult. Traveling to a rural village in Europe, he encounters a horde of violent villagers who pledge their lives to the cult.
Unlike previous games in the series, Resident Evil 4 has stronger focus on combat, with many more enemies to deal with. As such, it uses a new third person, over the shoulder combat system for easier aiming. Other changes to the game include context sensitive actions to interact with the environment, and quick-time event cutscenes.
RE4: Wii Edition introduces Wii Remote based aiming controls to the series, allowing for mouse-keyboard style shooting. The Wii edition also features all the additional content from other platforms, with several new side missions, minigames, new costumes, and a movie browser.
Requires Wii Remote and Nunchuk to get past the initial screen then disconnect Wiimote so you can use GameCube controller afterwards.
Don't set IR to Auto (Window size / Multiple of 640x528) or some textures - water in particular - will glitch out once you enter the menu / map / item screen.
This title does not need non-default settings to run properly.

|Windows 7||AMD Phenom II X4 N930 @ 2GHz||ATI Mobility Radeon HD 545v||15->30FPS. Average: 20. Minor graphical glitches with DirectX 9. The sound and graphics are not synchronized on cutscenes when not full speed.||Livy the pixie|
|Windows 7||Intel Core i3-530 @ 2.93GHz||Intel HD Arrandale||10->30FPS. Unplayable. Minor graphical glitches with DirectX 9. The sound and graphics are not synchronized on cutscenes when not full speed.||Livy the pixie|
|Windows 7||AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3GHz||AMD Radeon 6970||Can be played so far at a decent 25 to 30FPS. Lots of sound glitches, popping, screeching and also cutscene audio is off sync.||No Pistons|
|Windows 7||AMD FX-6100 @ 3.9GHz||AMD Radeon HD 6850||30FPS solid, occasional dips to 28, 2x Native Res. with 4xSSAA. Solid but same noise problem.||SplAdamb|
|Windows 7||Intel Core i5-2500K @ 4.1GHz||AMD Radeon HD 6850||Runs at 100% for the most part. Slight drop in FPS when it's raining. Strange "ghost" reflections during the lake boss event. Random glitch noises occur throughout certain stages.||MegaJump|
|Windows 7||Intel Core i5-450 @ 2.66GHz||ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470||Can be played decently at an average of 29FPS. Annoying screeching sounds. Stops at Chapter 3-1. Will retest with different copy.||SolidSnake|
|Windows 7||Intel Core i5-3750K @ 4.2GHz||NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560||30FPS with occasional dips to 25 when many enemies are on the screen (and consistently in the end portion of the game where the chopper (Mike) assists you. Sporadic noise / crackling issues (these were rare and fixed by restarting the emulator). OpenGL, 2x native resolution, 8x AA (DirectX9 and 11 both gave stuttering issues in scenarios where OpenGL did not).||Crisdecuba|
|Windows 8.1||Intel Core i5-4670 @ 3.4 GHz||NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M||Flawless. 100% almost all the time with very few hiccups during cutscenes. Played through without any bugs. IR 4x and 1440p DX11.||reery|
|Linux 4.8.15||Intel Core i5-4690 @ 3.5Ghz||Radeon R7 250E||IRx3, Solid 30FPS. Skip EFP Access from CPU speeds up emulation a lot (no FPS drops on explosions). Auto IR glitches some textures out, especially water.||lmello|
