Shakedown: Hawaii is a sequel to Retro City Rampage, released at the same time as Retro City Rampage DX. It is a parody of retro games and 80s and 90s pop culture as well as the popular Grand Theft Auto series and the games that followed it.

Problems

Audio Problems

Audio is buggy with the missions: "Sourcing Monk Fruit", "Bad Connection", and "A Dose of Fructose". The music will cut out completely after 10-15 seconds. Changing DSP emulation settings have no effect.

It can be restored once the music changes or by adjusting the "On Foot" option in the game's audio settings (this can be done as the mission starts).

Broken Menus

Menus fail to work unless Texture Cache Accuracy is set to the Safe setting. This is set automatically in 5.0-12336 onward.

Configuration

No configuration changes are known to affect compatibility for this title.

Testing

This title has been tested on the environments listed below:

Test Entries
Revision OS CPU GPU Result Tester
5.0-12324 Mac OS X 10.14.6 Intel Core i5 Intel Iris The game runs well, however, texture cache accuracy must be at safe for the menus to work. Techydude3
5.0-12324 Windows 10 Intel Core i5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Shakedown runs almost perfectly. Texture cache accuracy will need to be set to "Safe", otherwise menus and dialogue won't display properly. There is an odd audio bug with three specific missions in the game, "Sourcing Monk Fruit", "Bad Connection", and "A Dose of Fructose", where the music will cut out completely after approx. 10-15 seconds, and will only come back once the music changes or the "On Foot" option in the game's audio settings is messed with (this can be done as the mission starts to stop it from happening). Changing DSP emulation settings have no effect in preventing this. DurradonXylles
5.0-12348 Windows 10 Intel Core i5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Game runs near flawlessly regardless of texture cache settings now. Still running into the audio bug mentioned above. DurradonXylles
