Silent Hill: Shattered Memories marks Silent Hill's debut on the Nintendo Wii where the fear is more real than ever before. Players will be drawn into the mysterious town using the Wii Remote as a flashlight and a cell phone as they search for clues. Shattered Memories promises to be more terrifying than ever. The choices the players make will shape Harry Mason, as well as the people he meets and the places he visits. The enemies evolve as well, taking the form of the player's deepest fears.
Problems
Shadow Glitch
When using the D3D backend a shadow glitch is apparent in several textures in-game. Use OpenGL to fix this.
Snow Particles Glitch
The snow particles don't work correctly. They sometimes appear for a second and then disappear again or flicker for a while. This can be corrected by disabling "Store EFB Copies to Texture Only". Refer issue 10054.
Configuration
Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.
Graphics
Config | Setting | Notes |

Testing
This title has been tested on the environments listed below:
Test Entries | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
r7670 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-2500K @ 4.1GHz | AMD Radeon HD 6850 | Works totally fine for the most part. Flashlight still makes corrupted graphics anywhere it shines. | MegaJump |
3.5-382 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-2500K @ 4.4GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 | Works ok, full speed. Flashlight shows blacklines, making it quite hard to play. Used OpenGL to get around the questionnaire crash. | sofiBeatriz |
4.0-6585 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-4670K @ 4GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 | OpenGL; Flashlight black lines appear to be fixed on 4x native res, no AA and 16x AF; 1x AF gave me multiple flashlights spots. Still a lot of parts where the FPS would slow down significantly where it was 60FPS just moments ago; This was tested with both 1x and 4x native resolution. Textures in parts of the map and characters rendered incorrectly resulting in either flickering or black lines. | XzisT |
4.0-7723 | Windows 10 | Intel Core i5-4670K @ 4.3GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 | OpenGL; Flashlight black lines appear to be fixed on 4x native res, no AA and 16x AF; 1x AF gave me multiple flashlights spots. Minor framerate dips indoors but extremely low (3-10FPS) during outdoor scenarios on any resolution. Textures in parts of the map and characters rendered incorrectly resulting in either flickering or black lines. | XzisT |
