Sin & Punishment: Star Successor, known in Europe as Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Skies and in Japan as Tsumi to Batsu: Uchū no Kōkeisha, is an arcade style rail shooter that allows for a range of movement around the immediate level as the player is funneled along their path. Players can assume the role of either the male or female character, Isa and Kachi. Each can fight on the ground or in the sky with the right equipment, and utilize a diverse mix of evasive maneuvers, melee attacks in close quarters and unique special attacks. The world of Sin & Punishment: Star Successor is packed with enemies ranging from swarms of low to mid-level enemies to over-the-top bosses. In battling all these, players must use their particular mix of offensive and defensive skills to continually build point multiplier bonuses as they cash in on the enemies that they conquer. It is the sequel to the Nintendo 64 title Sin & Punishment.

Problems

Enemies Drop Through Floors

In the first level some enemies jump and go through the floor, as bullets can't go through the floor and the game waits for all enemies to be killed, no forward progress can be made. Use JIT recompiler to avoid this.

Rendering Issues

There are rendering issues with this title, dependent on the state of EFB copies. Some minor issues occur with EFB to Texture Only, while the screen is blurry with it disabled.

Configuration

Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.

style="white-space:nowrap;Expression error: Unrecognized word "r".Expression error: Unrecognized word "r". Windows XP x86 AMD Athlon II 215 @ 3.45GHz x2 NVIDIA GeForce 7025 Game completed. Most time about 70-85% of speed, rarely drops to 35%. Minor gfx bug - then timespace bomb shoot the screen (EFB copies=texture), can be avoided if set "EFB copies" to "RAM", but you will get a blurry screen (raising internal resolution will not work). In cutscenes audio runs ahead. Used JIT recompiler to complete 1st level, after that used JITIL. †.fl.l).
