Sonic and the Secret Rings is a video game developed by Sonic Team as part of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It was released exclusively for the Wii on February 20, 2007 in North America; March 2 in Europe; and March 15 in Japan. Secret Rings is a 3D platform and action game whose plot follows the series' main character, Sonic the Hedgehog, on a quest to stop an evil genie named the Erazor Djinn. The game uses a system of experience points and levels, as well as special moves.
Various Graphics Issues
In Sand Oasis Zone shadows are totally dark and fire points have transparency problems.
Using emulated wiimote may cause issues with actions such as homing attack and walking backwards. This can be corrected by marking both "sideways wiimote" and "upright wiimote" on the wiimote configuration screen. "Upright wiimote" may need to be deactivated for some sections, such as the flying carpet in the final world.
Slow Game Speed
The game speed, even on menus, can fall below 60% and be nearly unplayable. To fix this, make sure that you are using DSP HLE Emulation (fast) instead of the DSP LLE Recompiler. (Problem occurred on Quad-Core MacBook Pro)
Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.
