Spongebob's Truth or Square, is a video game based on the SpongeBob SquarePants episode with the same title. This video game is based on SpongeBob's 10th Anniversary. This is the first game developed by Heavy Iron Studios as a spun off company.

SpongeBob SquarePants has gotten himself into quite a predicament. After being entrusted by Mr. Krabs to keep the Krabby Patty formula safe, SpongeBob is overcome with grief for losing the recipe. He then relies on the help of the most unlikely companion, Plankton, who wants the secret Krabby Patty recipe for himself. With the help of his friends, SpongeBob must use Plankton’s memory machine to retrace the happiest moments of his life to find the Krabby Patty formula in time for the Krusty Krab’s Eleventy Seventh anniversary.

Problems

Black/Blank Screen

Whenever you are playing (basically any area that has 3D objects, and isn't a menu) if you do not have EFB Copies enabled then the screen will either be black or appear to be frozen in place. As long as EFB Copies are enabled things should appear fine, and as a note it doesn't matter if you have EFB Copies set to "Texture" or "Ram" either will work.

Controller Issues

You can't play this game with a real Wii Remote/Nunchuk. (It disconnects) You have to either use a usb controller (As a Gamecube Controller) or use your keyboard (As a Wiimote or Nunchuk).

Garbled Text

If you have Texture Cache set to "Fast" then some text in the game will have missing letters or words. If you have Texture Cache set to "Safe" then the text will appear as it normally would.

Audio Issues

In the current stable build (currently, 3.5) if you're using HLE for Audio when you go to start a new game you will hear a bit of garbled/glitched audio, but after the game finishes loading and starts it goes away completely. If you use a development release (anything over 3.5) then you won't hear any garbled/glitched audio while using HLE at all. If you're using LLE you shouldn't have many audio issues at all (assuming your system can handle LLE).

Configuration

Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.
