Wii Speak

I was going to make a category, like Category:Zelda ucode games, for the games that use the Wii Speak peripheral, based on wikipedia:Wii Speak. But would a template and an entry in emulation information be better? The only problem with that is that some games require it, while most are optional. :/ I could always just do the category instead. - MayImilae (talk) 08:36, 30 November 2015 (CET)

I would vote for the category, and BTW the listing on wikipedia is incomplete; AFAIK recent Just Dance games (and some spin-offs) and We Sing games also accept Wii Speak and yet aren't listed on the Wikipedia page... - mbc07 (talk) 18:05, 30 November 2015 (CET)

Please hold up on this just for a bit. Might it be good to just distinguish between generic "Microphone" and the "Wii Speak" peripheral in the infobox and let it spit out the category? I'm not clear how things play out there (i.e. can things that support generic mics also generally support Wii Speak, or vice-versa?). Wii Speak Channel indicates the Wii Speak is unsupported, so do we also need a {{Problems}} template to handle the description for that (perhaps with linkages into the WiiSpeak branch where it theoretically is supported till that's merged in)? AFAIK wiispeak branch is incomplete in the matter that the game can "see" that a microphone is connected (it emulates both a Wii Speak and a Logitech USB Mic) but the game can't hear anything from it. And about linking to the branch, well, after Google Code shutdown I think there are no other "official" location with the code, the old branches didn't migrate to GitHub. I have a copy of the branch in a fork of Dolphin Emu, in my personal GitHub account, but I don't know if it's OK to link to it (outsiders may think it's a impostor pretending to be official? IDK) - mbc07 (talk) 02:23, 1 December 2015 (CET)

Here's a list of all the Wii titles that we've marked with Mic support:
