=== <s>Echoing Audio Playback Glitch in Freezer Room (Goofy Goober Level)</s> ===
When you enter a "Freezer" type area (where you will see ice-cream, and ice around) the game will start making all sounds echo. Whenever the player talks (in this case Patrick) the voice will sound choppy/distorted, but once you exit the area then the effect will turn off, and the problem will go away as well. Even while using LLE the issue still persists, I tried it on my GC, but the audio all sounds the way it should. It is also notable that if you break any boxes/breakable objects it will cut off any other audio that is playing at the time (player lines, music, etc). Seems to be fixed since at least {{revision|5.0-5310}}.

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie is a video game based on the film of the same name. It was created on the same engine as SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom.

Problems

Invisible Platforms

On the level "Bubble Blowing Baby Hunt", a few raising platforms are invisible. They are still there, so it's possible to pass, however it requires you to jump onto these platforms with little idea as to where they stop, making it easy to fall into the lava below you. This isn't too big a problem, as springs underneath the invisible platforms are still present to show you where the middle of these platforms are.

Videos Won't Display

Anything that isn't in-game (meaning that it is just a video within the game) may turn black/blank. To fix this, set 'External Frame Buffer (XFB)' to 'Real'. Fixed with Hybrid XFB in 5.0-5874.

Enhancements

Ground Glitches

On anything above 1x Anisotropic Filtering makes the ground glitch to rather large see through triangles, although it's not too noticeable and isn't anything to really take away from the gaming experience. On 1x Anisotropic Filtering this glitch is not present. In addition to the former, there is a transparent box in the upper-left hand corner of the screen (using OpenGL will have a small transparent line in place though), and other minor visual problems (flickering objects occasionally).

A patch based on a cheat code from Battle for Bikini Bottom was ported to this game was merged and enabled by default in r14818.

Fix Red Triangles

This game has graphical glitches with higher internal resolutions including a box in the upper-left and messed up shadows that can be fixed with an AR Code.

The Vertex Rounding Hack was enabled by default in r14818 to resolve this.

16:9 Aspect Ratio Fix

This game has clipping issues with the widescreen hack that can be fixed with a Gecko Code. The PAL (German) Version of this code was made by Ralf.

Testing

This title has been tested on the environments listed below:

Test Entries
Revision OS CPU GPU Result Tester
3.0-716 Intel Core i3-370m ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 The game is (so far) very playable with a good amount of glitches, in which these glitches are very small and only one of them is well noticeable. JuCstin
3.0-763 Windows 7 Intel Core i3-2100 NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 x2 Instant Crash at start up. Cannot play. To be more specific, newer versions of Dolphin have been giving me backpatch errors which will ultimately end the game. Disabling Panic Headers appears to stop this, but the game crashes still. AnonSVN
4.0.1 Windows 7 Intel Core i5-2500K AMD Radeon HD 7850 The game runs near flawlessly, with nearly no visual or audio errors. This was tested with a D3D11 backend, no AA and 1x Anisotropic Filtering. Internal resolution was auto, and HLE audio backend was enabled. DrDoctor13
4.0-2012 Windows 7 AMD FX-4130 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Black screen even with original settings 65.128.172.150
4.0-2384 Windows 8.1 Intel Core i3-2120 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 9600 GSO 512 Black screen even with original settings 159.63.150.131
4.0-6266 Windows 8.1 Intel Core i5-4690K @ 4.2GHz AMD Radeon 270x Black screen even with original settings 159.63.150.148
5.0-466 Windows 10 AMD FX-4130 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 I played it all the way to I'm Ready Depression and I got to say, I just upgraded and the FPS greatly improved. I don't lag as much as I used to and I stay at a very steady 60 FPS. I used some custom settings to remove most the glitches. 174.53.128.166
5.0-3963 Manjaro 17.0.1 Intel Core i7-3632QM Intel HD 4000 Used in the Vulkan (experimental) rendering backend, and minus some hiccups (mainly due to Intel HD 4000), it runs almost flawlessly. 2D explosions have some alpha issues, and in echoy rooms, sounds clip off the moment they would normally end, as if they didn't have reverb at all. Other than that, works just fine! Played up to Goggle-eyes and Smelly Knick Knacks. MetroPone
5.0-5310 Solus 3 Intel Core i7-4790K AMD R9 Fury X Only consistent video setting though testing is the video backend which is OpenGL. Some settings changes produced very weird results but the game runs fine if the settings are correct. Anti-Aliasing causes (minor) weird shadow bugs, Anisotropic Filtering causes no issues at all, the Internal Resolution causes visual bugs (See though box in the top left of the screen and major weird shadow bugs) only if the setting is a multiple of 2 (Tested Native to 6x Native) for example, 6x Native causes issues but 5x or 3x don't cause the issue. Scaled EFB copy was turned off as this caused major shadow bugs on all resolutions. Sound bug described on the page (As of writing) does not appear to effect me and all sound effects are fine in the ice cream area, as well as this, the shadow bug described on this page doesn't occur for me (As described earlier). Currently played to Three Thousand Miles to Shell City (First sponge ball mission) 2haloes
