Tsūshin Taikyoku: World Chess (通信対局 ワールドチェス) is a chess video game, and a re-release of the budget retail title Wii Chess for the Japanese market. The game is played using the Wii Remote. However, instead of the pointer function, chess pieces are moved across the board using the D-pad on the controller. It has local and online multiplayer. Two other similar titles were released: Tsūshin Taikyoku: Hayazashi Shogi Sandan and Tsūshin Taikyoku: Igo Dōjō 2700-Mon.

This game's online functionality has been shut down as of May 20, 2014 and works in neither Dolphin or on Wii hardware.
