About Me

I'm a Computer Engineering student living in Brazil, following the Dolphin Emulator project since 2010. My contributions includes being one of the wiki administrators, working as the coordinator of Brazilian Portuguese translation team and as forum moderator. Although I have basic coding skills I usually stay away from Dolphin's codebase, it's somewhat complex for me, however in rare situations you may catch me contributing Game INI changes or very small and specific code patches on GitHub. Anyway, if you have any question about the wiki or want to ask something else you can write on my user talk page or send a PM in the forums.

My Systems

Most of time I use Dolphin in my laptop, otherwise in a HTPC-ish computer I have at home. In both cases Dolphin works at full speed with all GC and Wii games I own, especially using the latest development versions. The detailed specs of my systems are available below and you can also find a list of games I currently own, whenever possible I'll be testing them in Dolphin for fixes, regressions, etc. Feel free to ask me too in case you want me to test something or if you need a FIFO log, save file or anything else from those games.

To-do List

  • Investigate Video Gallery thumbnails: they're not randomly selecting 3 videos anymore
  • [ ] on captions messes video thumbnails, fix that (or at least work around it)
  • Finish cleanups started in {{Testing/entry}}
  • Rework all video templates into only two ({{VideoGallery}} and probably {{Video}} -- make them independent as well)
  • Fix styling of {{VideoGallery}} and related templates, they got messed by the extension update performed recently
  • Revise templates using variables (as far as I remember {{VideoGallery}} and {{GlobalProblems}}) to use standardized variables, avoiding conflicting variable names (just realized that variables are global to the pages they exist, not exclusively to the templates defining them)
  • Investigate Category:Wikipedia pages with incorrect protection templates and related templates: most of them seems useless to our wiki (left-overs?)
  • Add documentation for our less known extensions (like Loops, Variables, etc)
  • Revise Paper Mario series recent changes
  • Mess around with {{VideoGallery}} to check the amount of impact that increasing or removing thumbnail limit cap may cause on page-load times
  • Finish the experiments with the proposed Patches/Enhancement section standards
  • (Try to) Fix revision template functionality and make Compatibility version graphs more accurate
  • Correct spacing issues in {{Config}} template
  • Check if Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance really needs XFB
  • Investigate Donkey Kong Country Returns: many of these problems appears to be fixed in current development builds
  • Enhance revision template to work with different branches (implemented workaround)
  • Test EFB2RAM in Paper Mario TTYD. If EFB2RAM isn't needed anymore, the same probably applies to Super Paper Mario as well (both games still need EFB2RAM for transitions)

Temp Area

Some Android test entries to use in future and to mess around with testing template...

Device: Sony Xperia Z3+ OS: Android 5.0.2 Dolphin version: 4.0-8439 Tester: mother (err... me, with her shiny new smartphone)

Luigi's Mansion: intro/menu runs perfect, no graphical glitches, around 40-60FPS, ingame very slow (5-10 FPS) with some missing objects (Luigi's Flashlight, toad at the first floor, etc)

Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc: no graphical glitches, around 20-40 FPS

Super Smash Bros Brawl: some textures supposed to have transparent backgrounds shows black backgrounds (noticeable in the intro and in Rumble Falls stage), no other graphical glitches noticed. Around 15-20 FPS with two players, 5-10 FPS in huge stages or 4 players

Donkey Kong Country Returns: crash the emulator after "Health and Safety" screen
