Wario World (ワリオワールド, Wario Wārudo) is a platforming adventure game developed by Treasure and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube. It was released internationally in summer 2003, marking Wario's first starring appearance on a home games console. The game's plot centers around Wario and his quest to regain his treasure and his castle from an evil black jewel. The be sures in TV Anhanguera CD-ROM released on 2004 and 2005.

The game was fairly well-received by reviewers. Critics praised the gameplay but generally found the game to be too short. Wario World has sold over 142,000 copies in Japan and over 256,000 copies in the United States. In 2004, the game was re-released as a Player's Choice title..

Problems

Template:SSound problemsTemplate:/s

In the newer revisions either the sound effects, music or voices will turn off. These issues can be resolved by using the DSP LLE Recomplier. Fixed sometime before 4.0-4446.

Template:SClipping IssuesTemplate:/s

In 3.0-484, when surfacing from underground shafts to return to the main level, there seems to be a chance that Wario will clip through the map and fall perpetually into emptiness. If this happens, the level must be quit and re-entered. Fixed sometime before 4.0-4446.

Test Entries
Revision OS CPU GPU Result Tester
r6204 Windows 7 Intel Pentium E5300 @ 2.6GHz ATI Radeon HD 5450 Perfect: The game is fully playable at 50FPS (PAL) with DX9 plug-in. Markon89
r6562 Windows 7 Intel Pentium E5300 @ 2.6GHz ATI Radeon HD 5450 Perfect: this is the last revision that fully support Wario World, in r6563 the game freezes and the screen became black. I think the problem is: Disabled the paired single multiply instruction in r6563. I hope that the developers are able to solve the problem. Markon89
r6887 Windows Vista Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 @ 2.2GHz ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 Unplayable: The game freezes after one minute. 30-60FPS with DX9 plug-in and OpenCL Enabled.
r7310 Windows 7 Intel Pentium E5300 @ 2.6GHz ATI Radeon HD 5450 The game doesn't work with the newer version like the r7310 but i don't know why,the game freeze after 1-2 minutes because the screen became black, or white it depends. Markon89
r7540 Windows 7 Intel Core i7-2600K @3.4GHz AMD Radeon HD 6950 The game seems to freeze less with JITIL experimental recompiler instead of the regular JIT recompiler. I used Direct3D9 and LLE as sound output. Maverick Hunter X
r7583 Ubuntu 11.04 Intel Core i7-2630QM AMD Radeon HD 6650 FPS 60, speed 100%. But the Game freezes immediately when you start to play. Freezes after 1-2 minutes with JIT experimental recompiler. Somerset
r7606 Ubuntu 11.04 Intel Core i7-2630QM AMD Radeon HD 6650 So far, the game doesn't freeze anymore with the regular JIT recompiler. Somerset
3.0 Windows Vista Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3GHz AMD Radeon HD 6870 Dx9, 2x native res, no AA, 1x AF, 60FPS except if screen is filled with enemies, then it drops to about 80%.
3.0 Windows 7 Intel Pentium E5300 @ 2.6GHz ATI Radeon HD 5450 The game works perfect with the new version, no graphical glitches and no freeze, the problem was completely overcome Markon89
3.0-204 Windows 7 Intel Core i7-2600K @ 3.4GHz AMD Radeon HD 6990 Game runs perfectly at 60FPS with DX9 plug-in. Sound issues resolved via LLE recompiler.
3.0-415 Mac OS X 10.6.8 Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.13GHz NVIDIA GeForce 9400M Strangely it runs much faster when EFB is set to RAM, not texture. Nearly full speed all the time with RAM. Sound glitches do occur, just like in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
3.0-458 Windows 7 AMD Athlon II X3 450 @ 3.2GHz AMD Radeon HD 6670 DX9 Backend with DSP LLE Recompiler + on Thread = 60FPS. No errors by now. Faefdsedf
3.0-758 Windows 7 AMD Athlon II 4X 635 @ 3GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 Great game, emulates perfectly @ 4X AA, 16X AA, 1920x1080 widescreen. ALLEN2
4.0 Windows 7 Intel Core i3-2350M 2.3GHz Intel HD Best configuration 60FPS 100% SPEED. Slows with DSP HLE and LLE too gamecubewii
4.0-717 Windows 7 AMD Phenom II 975 @ 4.12GHz AMD R9 290 Internal resolution set to 3x Native with Scaled EFB copies, running in fullscreen@1920x1080, D3D backend, unchecked "Ignore format changes", EFB Enabled and set to virtual, using openMP texture decoder and DSP LLE recompiler, Framelimit set to 60, no vsync, using a real GameCube controller and all other options/hacks at their defaults. Runs at a full, stable 60FPS with no noticeable slowdowns or drops in FPS. Certain levels display some tearing in specific locations, but nothing intrusive or long-lasting. incassum
4.0-4446 Ubuntu 14.04 Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.3GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Able to complete entire game including final boss. Audio and graphics accurate using all default settings. No missing sounds in HLE, and I did not experience the clipping issue, probably fixed in tev_fixes_new. Ran 100% the whole way through, only very minor slowdown on the final boss intro and the opening cutscenes. Perfect. Xerxes
4.0-6251 Mac OS X 10.10.3 Intel Core i7-4770K @ 4GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Runs at a stable 60FPS with HLE audio at 3x native with 2x AA, 16x AF, forced texture filtering. Graphics settings: v-sync, scaled EFB copy, per-pixel lighting, skip EFB access from CPU, ignore format changes, store EFB copies to texture only, texture cache accuracy slider all the way at safe. LLE recompiler drops the framerate by about 5FPS (to ~55) seemingly at random.
