Problems

Sound Issues

Since at least the 4.0-revisions (possibly earlier revisions as well), XGRA experiences sound issues no matter the audio backend and settings or whether using DSP-LLE (both Dolphin-native and real DSP ROMs) or HLE.
The problems take the form of sound lagging behind when you start the game, and then, once in-game, the sound shows a number of problems, some depending on the map you play and some global, including but not limited to; sound cut-outs when there isn't supposed to be cut-outs, music stopping, specific sounds stopping and not resuming until seemingly random points later, sound stuttering even in the few sections where 60FPS is maintainable and sound latency/lag issues. It does not, however, affect the playability of the game in the technical sense. Currently, there are no know solutions or fixes.

Test Entries
Revision OS CPU GPU Result Tester
r6151 Windows XP x86 AMD Athlon II X3 425 @ 2.7GHz ATI Radeon HD 4200 Opening video shows only white, and no sound. Severe framerate hit during Transonic transitions and when supersonic (60 down to 30) Hyratel
r7283 Windows XP x86 AMD Athlon II X3 425 @ 2.7GHz ATI Radeon HD 4200 Opening video has no sound. minor framerate drop during transonic, Rain effect on some tracks is moderate FPS hit Hyratel
3.0-690 Windows 7 x64 AMD Phenom II X4 960T @ 3.8GHz AMD Radeon HD 6850 Near perfect game play. Solid 60FPS under normal conditions. Drops to 37FPS minimum during: heavy firefights, some weather conditions, and places with higher graphics. DrPotato
4.0-926 Windows 7 x64 AMD Phenom II 975 @ 4.01GHz AMD R9 290 All settings at defaults, running in fullscreen at 1920x1080. Tried changing EFB, XFB, DSP, progressive scan, most all possible hacks/options where tried; no settings can get it to run at a stable 60FPS, or even close to it. Oddly it gets sound glitches even with DSP LLE (mostly that sound starts a number of seconds late, but once in-game (i.e. in a race) it generally works with only a few glitches such as pops, stops and the like (the sound "catches up" at the start of a race). The graphics performance is generally unstable, with constant drops in FPS downwards of 20FPS, but no visible glitches. In certain maps, where nothing is going on on-screen, it can stay at 60 for a while, but never for long. incassum
