The classic gaming character Pac-Man is back for the third iteration of the Pac-Man World series. Pac-Man World 3 features the classic Pac-Man powers and adds a few new abilities--such as superstomp and electric shock--to assist the yellow-ball-like hero against his ghost foes. You will also be able to take control of two different ghost characters. The game takes place in both 2D and 3D and includes the original Pac-Man arcade game.
Problems
Elevator
The elevator in level 4 that unlocks the second platform to reach the first siphon will not run properly with HLE. It will allow you to go down, but will not allow you to go back up. If you use LLE, it works perfectly. See issue 11859. Fixed at some point.
Configuration

Testing
This title has been tested on the environments listed below:
Test Entries | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
4.0-4478 | Ubuntu 14.04 | Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.3 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 | Barely playable. Dialog in-game plays at half speed and crackles without LLE, and with LLE (on thread) the game can go as low as 50% speed in large areas. It's more stable with HLE but not by a whole lot. During the walking animation Pac-Man will sometimes jitter forwards and back which is annoying but it doesn't actually change the gameplay. Otherwise cutscenes, music, physics are okay but it's so slow it doesn't really matter. | Xerxes |
5.0 | Windows 10 | AMD FX 6350 @ 3.9 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 | OpenGL, HLE, 2xNative, No AA, 1xAF
Far more playable than previous builds. Pac-Man's movement still studders but the audio lag and generally slow speeds are gone. |
