: The titles that use this template require either an emulated MotionPlus or a real MotionPlus. What I mean by that is that if you use an emulated Wii Remote and turn off the "Attach MotionPlus" setting, or use a real Wii Remote with no MotionPlus plugged in, the game will not work. Maybe the "add-on" wording could use some clarification? Because while you do need MotionPlus, you don't need the physical add-on anymore. :: OK, yeah, could probably use some rewording. The current phrasing makes it seem like MotionPlus hardware is still required to me. Perhaps "This title requires Wii MotionPlus functionality." Kolano (talk) 23:11, 3 May 2019 (CEST)

Could there be a variant of this for games that can use Motion+ but don't require it?  Thinking of games like GoVacation.  JMC4789 (talk) 13:43, 12 January 2017 (CET)

Should be possible. We've tried to avoid them for most Problem templates, but perhaps we want to just use a variable the distinguish the subtlety different needed text in one template. Kolano (talk) 01:12, 13 January 2017 (CET)

Um... A problem template is not the right way to go about it... This problem exists because there is a hard barrier for entry that Dolphin cannot emulate - motion plus. It is vital to inform users of that with a problem tempalte! But if it is possible but not required, how is that a problem?. Users can still emulate it fine. Imo, this should be a note in the description, or a "motion plus optional" category. That would be less overt and still accessible. - MayImilae (talk) 12:09, 13 January 2017 (CET)

: We need an "Emulation Info" shared issue template to handle these. Kolano (talk) 06:32, 3 March 2018 (CET)
