SSX Blur is a snowboarding and skiing video game. It is the fifth installment in the SSX series. The soundtrack was created by Junkie XL and is played through the in-game radio station, "Radio BIG".
SSX Blur uses the VP6 video codec, common in Electronic Arts' titles, causing it's videos to have vertical line artifacts and other glitches on NVIDIA graphics cards. The Software Render will display VP6 video correctly, but is typically too slow. VP6 rendering also reacts poorly to the Force Texture Filtering enhancements (and Anisotropic Filtering on NVIDIA), causing further scrambling.
Loading screens can suffer from some graphics corruption in the lower half when scaling above native is used.
No configuration changes are known to affect compatibility for this title.
The graph below charts the compatibility with SSX Blur since Dolphin'srelease, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred.
This title has been tested on the environments listed below:
|Windows 7||AMD Athlon II X4 645 @ 3.1GHz||ATI Radeon HD 4250||Unplayable! The game seems to have a lot of graphics issues. I can't even get to make a save so I can at least have a banner for this one.|
|Windows 7||Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 3GHz||ATI Radeon FireGL 5600||Working with two bugs: sometimes the fog is much thicker and I do not see anything. Sometimes the character disappears completely, so that can only be seen ski or snowboard.||DeniSSXRus|
|Windows 7||Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 3GHz||ATI Radeon FireGL 5600||Working without bugs because 3.0-370 has "Scaled EFB Copy" option, but speed is 80-90%||DeniSSXRus|
|Windows 8.1||Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 3.5GHz||AMD Radeon HD 7750||Fullspeed||DeniSSXRus|
|Windows 7||Intel Core i5-3570K @ 3.8GHz||NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760||Plays correctly.||JMC47|
