Template:Vgrelease/doc
Template:Documentation subpage
This template is used in conjunction with {{Infobox video game}} to summarize release date information for computer or video game articles.
Syntax
{{vgrelease | region | date }}
- region
- Non-wikilinked region name. See below for regions guide.
- It is also possible to combine multiple regions in this parameter, for release dates which are the same between several regions -- e.g. EU/NA
- date
- Release date in Month DD, YYYY format. Example: November 12, 2011
Regions
The following parameters may be specified to display release dates for multiple regions in a single call. The order cannot be changed, so if the order is out of chronological order, seperate calls have to be created.
- JP=date
- Japanese region release
- NA=date
- North American region release
- PAL=date
- PAL region release
- EU=date
- European region release
- AUS=date
- Australasian (Australia and New Zealand) release
- WW=date
- World-wide release (in contrast to the International version, this is where the title is available for multiple regions simultaneously, occurs often for digitally distributed titles)
- INT=date
- International version release (this is not a synonym for World-wide
Regional release dates should be listed in chronological order, which the editor has to use separate calls for if they do not follow the order above.
Examples
Wind Waker
{{vgrelease|JP=January 13, 2002|NA=March 24, 2002|EU=May 2, 2003|AUS=May 7, 2003}}
PokéPark Wii
{{vgrelease|JP=December 5, 2009|EU=July 9, 2010|AUS=September 23, 2010}}{{vgrelease|NA=November 1, 2010}}
The last call is separated to maintain chronological order.
