Confirmed it works on latest (macOS 26) and all the way back to macOS 12. It didn't work on macOS 10.15.7 (the version immediately before macOS 11) so presumably macOS adopted or updated libUSB in macOS 11 or 12. It'll be difficult to confirm which.
