'''''Mortal Kombat: Armageddon''''' is the seventh title in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. The PlayStation 2 version was released in stores on October 11, 2006 while the Xbox version was released on the October 16, with a Wii version released on May 29, 2007 in North America.
For the first time ever on the Wii, players will be able to experience the latest chapter in Midway’s award-winning, best selling video game fighting franchise, '''''Mortal Kombat: Armageddon'''''. With the most complete roster ever, including more than 60 fighters from the entire Mortal Kombat universe (past, present and future), a revolutionary Kreate-A-Fighter mode and Kreate-A-Fatality mode, plus a brand new Konquest mode and Endurance Mode, ''Mortal Kombat: Armageddon'' promises to be the most complete, intensely lethal, fighting experience ever!
The game was not released on the Xbox in PAL territories. This game is the last ''Mortal Kombat'' for the sixth generation game consoles PlayStation 2 and Xbox, and the first for the seventh generation console on the Wii. It was later released in 2008 as part of the ''Mortal Kombat Kollection''.

===Needs IOS17===
{{Problems|{{#vardefineecho:problems|
This game reloads IOS during emulation, so it won't work if one's NAND dump (User\Wii) doesn't have IOS17, otherwise Dolphin will freeze in a grey screen after Wiimote warning screen. To obtain a WAD of IOS17 ready to be installed on Dolphin (Tools => Install WAD) from a System Update Partition (only in games that comes with updates) or from [http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/NUS_Downloader NUS Downloader]. However, with IOS17, Dolphin sometimes shows IOS reload errors when playing, but the game works without problems. Disabling Panic Handlers avoids these errors.
=== FIFO is overflowed by GatherPipe! ===
Errors occur when using '''Dual Core''' mode with this title. Disable it to resolve.

== Enhancements ==
=== IR>1x and Shadow Issues ===
The player's shadow has small rectangles surrounding it when IR>1x. To prevent that, turn off Scaled EFB Copies or set "Internal Resolution" to Native.
