Text Shadow

I don't know about anyone else but I'm having a lot of trouble making out the purple revision links with the shadow, it takes me like a solid 5-10 seconds every time to even understand what the numbers are supposed to be. Might be because I don't have great eyesight but something higher contrast would be nice. - Xerxes (talk) 21:27, 12 January 2015 (CET)

You're having trouble with the text, the shadow or both? These styles were implemented while the wiki still used the old theme and thus may be difficult to see now. I'm not happy with current results, perhaps it could be improved, like, increasing the monospace text size a little to match regular text size or using normal font instead of bold. Need feedback from the others too... - Jhonn (talk)
The shadow is the worst part in my opinion, without the shadow it should be okay, it's just the combination of the shadow and the bold and the really vibrant purple color that makes it look like a big blob instead of numbers when I'm scanning a page. The green issue links aren't as bad but that's mostly because the shadow seems more subtle so the letters and numbers stand out more from the background. - Xerxes (talk) 21:58, 12 January 2015 (CET)
I made a quick mockup of other styles I messed around but still disliked them, and from what I checked, I made mistakes, looking at the page history, the shadows were already removed by Kolano sometime ago (apparently I based my edits from an outdated version). Increasing the font size a little and dropping bold seems to work better, but I'm not sure. I hope MaJoR/Kolano have something better for us, I suck at CSS editing :P - Jhonn (talk)
