The RiiConnect24 service can restore the News Channel functionality. Refer to {{issue|10200}}. Because Dolphin doesn't emulate WiiConnect24, [https://github.com/RiiConnect24/.VFF-File-Downloader-for-Dolphin/releases there is a program] that RiiConnect24 made as a workaround to download the latest news data regularly. [https://wii.guide/riiconnect24-dolphin See this tutorial for more details.]  This is no longer needed as of {{revision|5.0-17613}} as Dolphin now has VFF downloader support.  The channel will error out on first boot after being installed to the NAND, but will work fine after that.
