Fixing the save files is fairly simple, and I feel like that information could be added here but I'm not sure where or in what manner to add it, if it should be in an existing section, in a new section, or on a new page entirely. In a nutshell the easiest way I've found is to export a clean save and the broken save to .gci files using the memcard manager, use a hex editor to copy the clean file's headers (first 64 bytes of the .gci file) over the bad headers, then delete the old saves from the memcard manager and import the fixed save. I've seen some examples of proper headers on forums, but they differed from mine, probably due to version and region differences, so while it may be useful to have a list of clean headers on here the most consistent way of fixing them is to copy them from a save made with the exact game you're trying to load it with. I can write up the page and add instruction images if that would be the best course of action, but if someone else wants to by all means go ahead. == Goblin Wall black screen issue ==
Since I'm not sure if I should add this to the main page or not, I'll be posting a semi-draft of the issue here.  If this is acceptable, please add it to the main page, as this bug effectively drops the rating from 4 stars to 3.

As of Dolphin 5.0-540, the Goblin Wall level is impossible to clear.  After defeating the Goblin King and responding to the subsequent letter received via Mogmail, the screen goes black and audio seems to stutter.  Earlier versions of Dolphin can progress past this point, but any save files made will have the wrong header and require hex editing to be usable afterwards.

Instructions to Fix Save Files

NeckbeardedDragon (talk) 01:07, 14 June 2017 (CEST)

It's relevant due to the Goblin Wall bug, which, despite being known about for 2 years, still isn't fixed. Said bug can be bypassed by using Dolphin-5.0-539 or earlier, but doing so wrecks the header on the save file.Star-X (talk) 23:57, 12 September 2018 (CEST)
