Creating SD Card for Linux and OS X users
I haven't tried, but you can try! I have a quick guide for you and please tell me if you made it.
- Go to SDK Tools Only and download one for your system.
- Unzip it, then find and extract a file named mksdcard from \tools\ to elsewhere.
- Then type in terminal:
mksdcard 2048M sd.raw
(confirmed on Windows, but same goes for Linux / OS X? More command information)
Did it created 2GB? Can Dolphin read it? Thank you for testing. Lucario (talk) 18:21, 25 June 2015 (CEST)
- Tested on Hackintosh. Linux and real Mac users can try too and inform us if it works for you. Lucario (talk) 19:54, 26 June 2015 (CEST)
- OK, hrm, didn't realize the tool included versions for all 3 OS's in it. We may still need some edits...
- I was thrown off by the discussion around the Windows bat file. Since we don't describe it's use here we may want to avoid bringing it up.
- "Drag and drop" per this article such may be broken in Vista (curse you Vista), not clear if we should address that.
- "Type 2048M for 2GB, or if desired, instead it with different size like 512M (512MB), 1024M (1GB), etc." is grammatically incorrect.
