It's actually possible to get in-game if you're very careful about things. Dolphin doesn't emulate the GameCube/Wii PPC L1/L2 caches, which actually are the result of this game crashing. We can simulate enough of the behavior in this particular game though by using the option in Game Properties "Skip DCBZ Clearing." This will cause serious defects in the menu, but upon loading the course, you then savestate. Now exit the game, return the option to normal, and loadstate.
