Wii Play is a party game developed and produced by Nintendo as a supplementary title bundled within the Wii controller retail pack. Wii Play consists of nine games. All games are designed for 2 players, but can also be played either by a single player, or a single player with a computer-controlled second player. No Nunchuks are required for any of the games; however, players can use a Nunchuk as a substitute for the D-Pad for the Tanks! game if they wish. Wii Play received a sequel in 2011 entitled Wii Play: Motion which takes advantage of the Wii MotionPlus.
Mii faces will show wrong, some NPC faces will even duplicate the player Mii's. This is often seen on old Wii games that use Miis. This can be adressed by using Single Core or Deterministic Dual Core. Single core mode is default since 5.0-11217.
The flashlight didn't show up, making the "dark" levels impossible to complete. Fixed by 5.0-568.
It's extremely difficult, perhaps impossible, to catch fish with an emulated Wii Remote. Use a real Wii Remote to address this. This was fixed in 5.0-10056.
Due to the complex Wii Remote movements required this mini-game is nearly unplayable using emulated controllers. Use a real Wii Remote to address this. This was fixed in 5.0-10056.
The neon tubes in the game Laser hockey render incorrectly if an internal resolution of more than 1x is used and Scaled EFB Copy is enabled. Disabling Scaled EFB Copy fixes it, but makes some Textures display at lower resolution.
As of 5.0-16786, you may use Graphics Mods to remove the bloom altogether or make it be less noticeable by rendering the bloom at native resolution.
Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.
