Dolphin Forum thread
Wii Sports is a sports video game developed and produced by Nintendo as a launch title for the Wii video game console. The game is included as a pack-in game with the Wii console in all territories except Japan, making it the first game included with the launch of a Nintendo system since Mario's Tennis for the Virtual Boy in 1995.
Wii Sports is a collection of five sports simulations, designed to demonstrate the motion-sensing capabilities of the Wii Remote to new players. The five sports included are tennis, baseball, bowling, golf, and boxing. Players use the Wii Remote to mimic actions performed in real life sports, such as swinging a tennis racket. The rules for each game are simplified to make them more accessible to new players. The game also features training and fitness modes that monitor players' progress in the sports.
A sequel was released in 2009 entitled Wii Sports Resort, which takes advantage of the Wii MotionPlus.
Incorrect Mii Faces
On the Mii character select screen Mii's will have a different look than their original design. Games that use Mii characters may not render them appropriately. Fixed by disabling dual core which is disabled by default since at least 5.0-10516.
HD Texture Packs
This title does not need non-default settings to run properly.
The graph below charts the compatibility with Wii Sports since Dolphin's 2.0 release, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred.
This title has been tested on the environments listed below:
|r3932||Windows||Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.6 GHz||NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT||The game is very playable and looks good. It's also very stable and it is possible to use the Mii inside the WiiMote. Which I demonstrate in this video! Bugs: Mii's with 'broken' faces, no eyes, eyebrows, moustache, beard, mouth and noise. Also the pixelated Mii with boxing.Wii Sports on Dolphin Emulator||Laurensnl|
