The Conduit takes players into a dark story in Washington D.C. after a vicious alien invasion has rocked the country. An organization called the Trust has sent in Secret Service agent, Mr. Ford, to go up against the insect-like alien race known as "The Drudge." Armed with an array of futuristic weaponry and an intelligence-gathering device simply called the "All-Seeing Eye," players follow an intricate storyline filled with conspiracy, shady government activity and terrifying aliens.
Problems
Missing Distance Textures
When using the D3D11 backend, distance textures may appear corrupted or missing unless anisotropic filtering is enabled (16x recommended).
Video Corruption
Some video segments are corrupted. It differs between OpenGL and DirectX but affects both.
Stuttering
When the ASE is activated in-game the game seems to slow down or stutter wildly making the game nearly unplayable. This seems to be a problem with OpenCL as well as JITil. Normally the game runs better when these options are enabled but with them off the ASE functions work at full or near full speed with little slowdown. This behavior is confirmed with ATI/AMD Radeon HD cards and NVIDIA cards with OpenCL enabled.
Crashing
The game may crash randomly. Solved by an unknown revision prior to 5.0-274.
Configuration
No configuration changes are known to affect compatibility for this title.
Version Compatibility
The graph below charts the compatibility with The Conduit since Dolphin's 2.0 release, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred.
Testing
This title has been tested on the environments listed below:
Test Entries | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
r6252 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i7-930 @ 3.53GHz | ATI Radeon HD 5770 | Minor graphics glitches/Inconsistent audio corruption | |
r7358 | Windows 7 | AMD Phenom II 720 BE @ 3.2GHz | ATI Radeon HD 4850 | Working at 20FPS. Wii Remote loses connection after some minutes - press ALT+F5 | ultramann |
5.0-274 | Windows 10 | Intel Core i7-4770K @ 4.2GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 | Game works fine with no emulator slowdown at all. 3xIR 2xSSAA and 16xAF, D3D12 backend, Store EFB Copies To Texture Only checked, Texture Accuracy set to Fast, and HLE audio. ASE stutter may be caused by shader compilation, but clears up after a few seconds of using it in a mission. Game never crashed after a few hours of testing so it may be fixed now. Mission 2 works just fine for me in every backend and may also be fixed. Wii Remote Plus can play sound of the speaker perfectly with no known drawbacks. | Marioman91 |
