Wii Version |
Chibi-Robo!, fully titled Chibi-Robo! Plug Into Adventure in North America, is a platform/adventure video game for the Nintendo GameCube video game console. It was developed by skip Ltd. with collaboration from Nintendo, and was published by Nintendo in Japan June 23, 2005, in North America on February 6, 2006 and in Europe on May 26, 2006. The game was directed by Kenichi Nishi and Hiroshi Moriyama, and produced by Shigeru Miyamoto. Chibi-Robo! puts the player in the role of the titular character, a tiny, 10-centimeter tall robot owned by the Sanderson family. Gameplay revolves around collecting "Happy Points" by completing various tasks from picking up trash and cleaning up spills to helping solve the personal dilemmas of the Sanderson family and the living toys that inhabit their household. Chibi-Robo! also saw a Japanese re-release in 2009 for the Wii as part of the New Play Control! label.
Problems
Music
Music loops inappropriately and cuts out.
Fingerprint Pattern
A fingerprint pattern may appear covering the screen on game start/load. Cause currently unclear.
Microphone Response
"Insert a Mario Party microphone and talk into it. Chibi-Robo will look at you. Shout into it to make him fall down." ...this functionality is unsupported in Dolphin versions up to 3.0-176, see issue 274. 3.0-176 added microphone support which should enable this functionality.
Configuration
This title does not need non-default settings to run properly.
Version Compatibility
The graph below charts the compatibility with Chibi-Robo! since Dolphin's 2.0 release, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred.

3.0-692 | Windows 7 x64 | Intel Core i5-2500K @ 4GHz | AMD Radeon HD 6970 | Game works overall perfect, with about no slowdowns. Ranking up "cut-scene" gives grey screen while scene lasts. Config: DX11, 2xNative, AA:4x, AF:16x, Per-pixel lightning enabled, OpenMP Texture Decoder enabled. | |
3.0-809 | Windows 7 x64 | AMD Athlon x3 450 @ 3.2GHz | AMD Radeon HD 6870 | Game works well, has some slowdowns, but randomly freezes. During this period the audio loops and is choppy. |
