Wii Version |
Pikmin 2 is a real-time strategy video game developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube. It was released in Japan on April 29, 2004, in North America on August 30, 2004, in Europe on October 8, 2004, and in Australia on November 4, 2004. Pikmin 2 is the sequel to Pikmin, and improves on it's predecessor with a 2-Player mode, two new types of pikmin and a pikmin-esque creature "Bulbmin", and removal of the time limit. Pikmin 2 is widely considered an improvement over the previous title, receiving universal acclaim from reviewers. In 2009, Pikmin 2 was re-released for the Wii as part of the New Play Control! series, released in all markets except North America.
Problems
Stuck At Nintendo Screen
If Pikmin 2 goes into Nintendo screen and goes no further. Try resizing screen from full screen to regular screen, most of the times it should work. Or Click DSP in the toolbar, under Back End Settings, choose 'No audio output'. After going to main screen, save the state. Re-enable the sound and reset the game. From here on just reload the state quickly from the intro screen.
Alternatively, close the window and try again until it runs correctly - usually takes between 2-7 tries.
Configuration
No configuration changes are known to affect compatibility for this title.
