Max Drive is Datel's cool new way to transfer gamesaves and more between your GameCube and any PC. It consists of a special memory card, a USB connector cable, a PC software disc, and a GameCube formatting tool. Max Drive Pro is an enhanced version that also supports launching homebrew.
Problems
Max Drive Memory Card
Dolphin does not emulate the extra commands used by Max Drive memory card hardware. The original Max Drive will refuse to start without a Max Drive memory card; however, Max Drive Pro also starts if a standard memory card is inserted (though it is only possible to view a list of save files).
Missing Crash Screen (Non-Default Setting)
Max Drive Pro will crash if the start button (normally intended to launch homebrew titles) is pressed on a memory card that has no save files. This crash likely happens on real hardware too (though it has not been tested). However, if MMU is disabled, no crash happens, and if Immediately Present XFB is enabled, then Max Drive Pro will hang without showing information about the crash.
