I have wondered if the user understands there's a difference between 6 and 3.5-6/4.0-6. Since if not, they may not actually be testing against revisions as old as it appears.Kolano (talk) 07:38, 15 December 2014 (CET) | I have wondered if the user understands there's a difference between 6 and 3.5-6/4.0-6. I considered that too which was why I asked if the user needed format help. Either way whether this really is testing for old revisions or just confusion over the version numbering it's not cool to overwrite other people's edits for completely different versions to enter your own. If his edits were added alongside the other ones it wouldn't really be a problem but he's basically removing other people's results from many different pages. In fact a lot of his edits have already been reverted with many notes on why they were reverted and the user continues to edit in the same way. - Xerxes (talk) 08:14, 15 December 2014 (CET) |

Hi
Why are you changing version compatibility ratings set by other users?
It's usually better practice to make your own entry instead of overwriting someone else's. Do you need help with the formatting? Because I can help you if that's the case. - Xerxes (talk) 20:01, 14 December 2014 (CET)
I'm not clear on the validity of these edits but just to track what had happened here...
- Hot Wheels World Race: Version compatibility moved back from 282 to 233
- Worms Blast: Version compatibility moved back from 3.0-758 to 6
...rather unclear that these are valid since we don't even seem to have archives of these versions. Kolano (talk) 02:31, 15 December 2014 (CET)
I went to the IP's contributions and it seems like this person's made a lot of changes to version compatibility, removing entries or changing them without explanation. I don't know what the reasoning is either but it isn't just those two edits. I'm still willing to help out if the person needs help but it's starting to look a bit like vandalism. - Xerxes (talk) 06:19, 15 December 2014 (CET)
Many of the older edits are more descriptive. For Instance:
- Kao the Kangaroo Round 2: VersionCompatibilityVersion|6|***|Needs bFakeVMEM at line 50 in Memmap.cpp set to true or TLB at load screen. Hangs when entering hub world
- Chibi-Robo! (GC): VersionCompatibilityVersion|6|****|No longer freezes after leaving the Chibi-House
They may not be without merit, though it's surprising to see testing going on with such out of date revisions. We probably would like to get some of these revs from the user if we could (i.e. I don't think we have anything r6-1006 anymore).
I have wondered if the user understands there's a difference between r6 and 3.5-6/4.0-6. Since if not, they may not actually be testing against revisions as old as it appears.Kolano (talk) 07:38, 15 December 2014 (CET)
